Henrietta Molinaro is an artist of English and Italian origin, based in North West London.

Born in Rome in 1979, Henrietta was brought up in rural Tuscany and first studied fine art in Florence and Rome. She moved to London in 2002, continuing with a degree in graphic design at the London College of Printing. “My background in photography and design play an important role in shaping my approach to image making - where each discipline will often inform the outcome of the other”. After graduating with a first class honours degree, Henrietta worked as a designer and for several years collaborated on projects with notable London designers Stephen Coates and Mike Dempsey before taking the decision to focus more fully on her own art.

Henrietta’s work is inspired by nature and rediscovered forms. “I’m particularly interested in the life an object may have once had, and in celebrating natural beauty that is often overlooked.”

Widely respected for making Cyanotype prints her creative interest has in the last few years shifted from experimentation with early photographic methods into painting, and her practice has become increasingly abstract. Exploring the relationship between positive and negative shapes, colour, form and composition are at the core of her work.

Since 2012 Henrietta has been represented by Wilson Stephens and Jones.

Her work has been exhibited both in the UK and Tokyo and has been sought after by numerous private clients and appeared in several international journals and publications.
