Kate Trelawny is a ceramicist based in southwest London, specialising in stoneware pottery that combines functionality with distinctive design. Her work emphasises tactile engagement, often featuring elements like bobbles, waves, circular motifs and scallops that invite viewers to touch her pieces.
 
Her journey into ceramics began a few years ago when she acquired a wheel and kiln during the lockdown, allowing her to explore her passion further. “A few years back I discovered ceramics. I got a wheel and kiln during lockdown and off I spun….pretty wobbly, still am, but still spinning.”
 
The mother of two grew up in the Cotswolds and is also a caterer to leading fashion designers and magazines such as Vogue, Gucci, Zara and H&M.
